Principle 7
Digital Integration
Smart use of technology helps organisations work efficiently and stay connected.
Digital tools like Artificial Intelligence can help you work more efficiently. They’re often used to cut costs, reduce errors and take care of repetitive or complex tasks. But the real benefits depend on how you design and use the technology.
Some people worry that AI could replace jobs. That’s why it’s important to take a responsible approach. When used well, technology can support your team — not replace them. It can free people up to focus on more skilled, meaningful work and help them do their jobs better.
Essential digital skills for every worker
The Workforce Digital Skills Charter is a shared commitment to help everyone in the workforce build essential digital skills. Whether you’re in a paid role or volunteering, these skills are key to success now and in the future.
The Charter is a call to action. It recognises that upskilling your team in digital tools isn’t just important — it’s critical to meeting the UK’s digital challenge.
